Aligners are NOT like Braces
Speakers:
Ken Fischer, DDS
Many orthodontists assume since they know how to move teeth with braces that they can excel in moving teeth with aligners using the same mechanics and paradigms learned for wires and brackets. Not so…There is a learning journey that must be taken with clinical experience gathered along that pathway before the clinician earns proficiency that will yield successful treatment results with clear aligners. This lecture will explain those new paradigms.

Learning Objectives:

Recognize the differences between orthodontic treatment with clear aligners and fixed braces.
Evaluate how to make clear aligners work better in your practice.
Greatly appreciate the statement: ‘In the hands of an experienced and trained clinician, clear aligners can be used to treat any comprehensive malocclusion.’
